Before you start
Ejari registers a signed contract, so finalise and sign the tenancy first. Have your documents ready: the signed contract, a title-deed copy, IDs, and your DEWA premises number.
Option 1 — Dubai REST app (cheapest, do it yourself)
- Log in to the Dubai REST app with UAE PASS.
- Go to RERA services → Register Ejari.
- Enter the contract details and upload your documents.
- Pay the fee and receive your Ejari certificate with its contract number.
Option 2 — Typing centre (fast, in person)
Visit a Real Estate Services Trustee / typing centre with your documents. They submit the registration for you, usually same-day, for a service fee on top of the standard charge.
Option 3 — Property management company
Many managed buildings handle Ejari for you for a flat fee, including renewal reminders — the most hands-off, but the priciest.
What it costs
Fees depend on the channel — see the full breakdown on the Ejari fees page. Once registered, remember to renew the Ejari each time you renew the lease.
Common questions
Can I register Ejari myself?
Yes. Using the Dubai REST app with UAE PASS you can self-register your tenancy contract — it's the cheapest route. A typing centre or property manager can do it for you for a higher fee.
How long does Ejari registration take?
Online via the Dubai REST app it is often near-instant once documents are uploaded and the fee is paid. A typing centre is usually same-day.
Do I register Ejari before or after signing the contract?
After. Ejari registers an existing, signed tenancy contract — so agree the terms and sign first, then register.
