Ejari documents required

Have these ready before you register — it's the difference between a five-minute job and a wasted trip.

The standard checklist

  • The signed tenancy contract (original).
  • A copy of the property's title deed.
  • The landlord's passport / Emirates ID (or the agency's details).
  • Your Emirates ID, plus passport and visa page.
  • A recent DEWA bill or premises number.

If a company is the landlord

Add the company's trade licence, and a power of attorney for whoever signs on its behalf. Managed buildings usually hold these and can register on your behalf.

A couple of tips

  • Make sure names on the contract match the IDs exactly — mismatches cause rejections.
  • The DEWA premises number ties the registration to the right unit — get it from any DEWA bill.
